ReSolve is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Farrington as Partner, the firm’s first senior hire outside London, as it continues to expand its geographical reach and breadth of service offering.
A Chartered Accountant and Licensed Insolvency Practitioner specialising in insolvency and restructuring, Chris has 30 years’ experience in advisory and recovery services with an impressive track record – working with funders, owners and creditors of companies in financial distress.
As well as advising numerous businesses behind the scenes, helping to steer them away from collapse, Chris has acted as Administrator, Receiver or Liquidator to over 100 companies, ranging in size from small OMBs to plc’s, across most industry sectors.
Highlights of Chris’ experience include the high profile trading administration of the £1.4bn turnover electrical goods retailer Comet Group Ltd, the administration of the UK’s largest home energy efficiency company Mark Group Ltd and the country’s biggest private sector training business Carter and Carter plc.
Cameron Gunn, ReSolve founder, commented: We’ve been on the lookout for a top quality, experienced restructuring partner to lead ReSolve’s expansion in the Midlands for some time, and when Chris became available we had no hesitation in recruiting him. I’m thrilled Chris decided to join us, especially given the recent uptick in activity we’re seeing in the Midlands market.
Chris Farrington commented: After 30 fantastic years at Deloitte, I thought I’d seen it all and was happy to hang up my boots, but the chance to join such an entrepreneurial and highly regarded firm as ReSolve was simply too good to miss, particularly the opportunity to introduce ReSolve’s distressed investment solution to my toolkit for troubled companies.
