Ben was appointed Partner at ReSolve in 2016. Having worked in business restructuring for almost 20 years, his experience, technical knowledge and project management skills support a calm-under-pressure and thoughtful working style that is highly sought after by clients in times of distress.
He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and UK Insolvency Practitioner, licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Ben spent over half of his working life with a Big Four firm and is adept in almost any scenario, with experience of debtor and creditor side restructuring throughout his career. He has worked on some of the largest corporate recovery cases over the years and heads up our Corporate Simplification Advisory service.
One of Ben’s most recent cases involved trading an inbound call centre with 250 staff, successfully negotiating terms with suppliers and customers and generating significant returns for creditors. Ben commented at the time that “With the loss of key contracts which led to our appointment, staff morale was low and the future looked bleak. By working with the customers, many of the staff were transferred to new call centres and nationally critical services were successfully maintained before moving to a new supplier. It was a great ReSolve team effort!”.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, walking in fells, football and rugby, and volunteers as the treasurer for his local Scouts district.
