David Hill

Partner, Head of Corporate Finance


David Hill is Partner Head of Corporate Finance at ReSolve. David has over 25 years of corporate finance experience – particularly complex cross-border M&A, strategic capital raising and restructuring – for private companies and companies listed on the exchanges of London, New York, Toronto, Johannesburg, Warsaw, Paris and Amsterdam.

In 2000, David joined Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (the Investment Banking division of Citigroup) where he remained until 2012 as Managing Director of Investment Banking. He was initially responsible for originating and executing strategic transactions in the global TMT sector – encompassing M&A, equity, equity-linked and high yield capital raising, acquisition financing and restructuring. In 2012 David was a founding partner of Eastwest Partners and head of corporate finance, transferring his advisory activities to ReSolve in 2017.

David began transacting in emerging markets at Citigroup in 2006. Following success within the TMT sector in the CEEMEA region, he took on broader responsibility across industries. He became Senior Investment Banker for Citigroup in the CEEMEA region in 2010 in addition to his TMT responsibilities.

From 1997 until 2000, David was Vice President at SG Hambro’s (the corporate finance division of Société Générale) where he was responsible for M&A in the European Media, Leisure and Technology sectors.

On graduating in 1989, David joined KPMG in London. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992 and transferred to KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was responsible for executing many public and private M&A transactions in the UK and internationally.

David is a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the ICAEW (FCA) and Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute (FCSI); and has a BSc. in Natural Sciences from Durham University.
