Sale of global real estate FinTech platform

In November 2019 ReSolve was appointed to find a buyer for the business and assets of BrickVest Ltd, BrickVest Technology Ltd, BrickVest Services Ltd and BrickVest Talents Ltd (together “BrickVest”).

Founded in 2014 by E. Lumineau and T. Schneider, BrickVest was one of the leading real estate FinTech platforms in Europe which, via regulated subsidiaries, served the liquidity and investment needs of 1,000 real estate sponsors, 20 banks and 6,000 clients in Europe and the US, from deal listing to investment execution.

With offices in London, Nice and Berlin BrickVest employed over 20 people, and had appeared in the Top 100 PropTech Watchlist for the previous four years.

BrickVest had raised c£12m of capital in various funding rounds from 50 angels, three VCs and two banks. Whilst its four FinTech products were revenue generating, and approaching breakeven, BrickVest as a group required further investment.

Following engagement and over the following three months ReSolve searched for an appropriate purchaser for this global FinTech organisation, and in February 2020 successfully secured a sale of the businesses of BrickVest to PATRIZIA AG. This ensured the further development of BrickVest as an independent and open industry platform connecting various investor groups with deal sponsors and product providers.

As a result of this acquisition BrickVest also gained access to PATRIZIA’s global industry network including more than 350 institutional investors and industry partners and more than 200 banks & financial institutions worldwide.
